The Society's Card Index (Places)

In the early 90s, members of the Society undertook the mammoth task of transcribing local wills, mainly from 17C and 18C, but some earlier, from which they created a card index of names and places,  to which were added data from the then unpublished church registers (1812-1837).  and indexing the names. That resulted in an index of 6000 or so personal names and 450 or so place names.  The place index can be searched here.  For the names index, please follow this link .
