The Society's Card Index (Names)

In the early days of the Society, members undertook the mammoth task of transcribing local wills, mainly from 17C and 18C, but some earlier, from which they created a card index of names and places.  To this was added data from the then unpublished church registers (1812-1837).  That exercise resulted in an index of nearly 9000 entries of personal and place names.  The names index can be searched here.  For the places index, please follow this link .
